Allen will complete his M.S. in Robotics at Carnegie Mellon University in May 2016, with a research thesis focused on intelligent transportation systems. His research interests stem primarily from the future of transportation, both in the development of robotic agents and in the control of large-scale traffic systems. Allen graduated from Duke University with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, where he also published papers in the areas of Electrical Engineering and Radio Frequency Metamaterials. He also has industry experience from work at a robotics startup, and hopes to join an autonomous car project following his Masters.
